The second type of cage used at the Centre, the "CPPS Montalto" was designed by the Centre itself and is currently patent pending. The cages were constructed locally according to design specifications provided by the Centre. These cages developed from the need to contain costs and eliminate minor inconveniences encountered in the use of the "Gib-Trap" model.
